What the tool compares
Text is extracted in the PDF’s reading order, then compared line by line. The result is a text file: apart from headers, lines prefixed with “+” were added and those prefixed with “−” were removed.
Comparison is text-based.
Colours, images, drawn signatures and graphical repositioning are not compared. Two visually different pages may contain the same text.
Prepare the files
- Add exactly two PDFs: the old version, then the new one.
- Check their order in the list and move them if needed.
- Start the comparison, then read or download the report.
Understand the limitations
Scans without text cannot be compared this way. Differences in columns or extraction order may cause differences without any visible change. The report supports a review; it does not replace one.
