Using BeauPDF
Do I need to choose a tool before starting?
On the home page, simply add your files. BeauPDF then suggests actions compatible with their number and format. You can also open a tool directly from the catalogue.
Is it free and do I need an account?
Individual use is free, with no payment card or added watermark. An account with a verified email address is required to upload files and start processing.
What are the limits?
50 MB per file, 50 MB for an entire operation, up to 50 files and 500 pages depending on the tool. Image, table and complex document conversions have additional limits on dimensions and content. A message tells you if the document exceeds the operation’s resource budget.
My PDF is too large. What can I do?
Reduce the number of files or pages. For conversion to images, choose a lower resolution. If a file exceeds the upload limit, you must first reduce it on your device.
Can I use BeauPDF on mobile?
Yes, with a recent browser. Use the add button to select a document on your device. Page and file move controls can be used without dragging and dropping.

Do files leave my device?
Previews are prepared in the browser. When you start processing, files are sent over HTTPS to the service hosted in the European Union. See the privacy policy.
How long are files kept?
Thirty days in your account, from upload or result creation. The free space can hold 1 GB and 1,000 files, including uploads and results. Cleanup is scheduled every fifteen minutes. Keep a copy of documents you need for longer.
Do you use advertising cookies?
No. The account session is used for processing. The theme and recently opened tools are stored locally in your browser; you can clear this list from the catalogue.
Formats and results
Can I mix PDFs and images?
Yes. Add PDFs and PNG or JPEG images, then choose “Combine PDFs and images”. You can arrange them and create a single PDF. Other formats must be converted separately when a compatible tool is available.
Do conversions preserve everything exactly?
Conversions to Word, Excel or PowerPoint reconstruct editable elements. The result depends on the PDF’s structure. Check tables, images, fonts and page breaks before use.
Can I convert a scan to text?
Text recognition is currently unavailable. A PDF made of photos does not necessarily contain extractable text. Tools in preparation are marked as such and do not allow file uploads.
Is an added signature certified?
The tool adds a visual text signature. It does not verify the signer’s identity or produce an advanced or qualified electronic signature. See the signature guide.
Can I remove a PDF’s password?
Yes, if you know the password and have the necessary rights. The unlock tool does not attempt to guess the password.

First try a smaller batch or less demanding settings. If the problem persists, send the tool name, approximate time and displayed message to our contact address. Do not send confidential documents by email.
